Thank you for that. So we can use the -6 AN side of the Russell fitting to go inside the filter (I'm not looking to use the o-ring side of the fitting) with the 37 degree flare and wouldn't have any leak issues?

No you cant. The fuel filter is 16mmx1.5 oring you will need a different from factory filter or that adapter.

I should know that is the adapter I'm using to go from the from the factory fuel lines to -6 AN. It's what I did to plumb the fuel system for my swap.

Have you just destroyed one of the "nuts/fitting" that's on the fuel line that threads into the filter? Your "thoughts" are incorrect.
There's multiple methods of repair so it's difficult to just give you a simple, "do this". The nut is M16-1.5 but the preparation of the tubing requires specialty tools, the nut is a compression style and not the typical INV FL. I'd suggest contacting a local that understands. There are sections of tubing sold with the correct sealing preparation with nut.
