D44 batwing weight?: Engineering curiosity

I'm in the middle of an odd project, and am just curious about the D44 part.
Thanks for any help/info.

My D36 batwing is 11.2 pounds. There's less weight difference between the two C4 batwings than I had previously assumed. In my project my main reason for using a D36 batwing was cost (I had a spare just sitting on the shelf), and D44 batwings are rather pricey to buy.
I'm trying to swap out the C3 D44 batwing in my '69 for a lighter C4 batwing. The C3 batwing pulls about 15# off the car compared to all the steel and cast iron in the stock differential mounting, but the D36 batwing should allow me to pull another 6-7 pounds off the car. Here's the (unfinished) adapter ring I hogged out for ring gear clearance. I also had to drill the D36 batwing to match the C3 differential cover bolt pattern.

Here it is bolted to a spare/old differential housing.

Once I'm done with all the batwing modifications I'm 99% sure I'll have to cut off the batwing mount tabs currently on the frame and fabricate some new ones in a slightly different location.
Thanks again for the help, guys.
