Default Best Cheap Mods Thread

I spent the weekend upgrading my fog lights to the 50W, replacing my
wimpy horns, and cutting my air lid. Whole thing cost me $45 and my car
is a lot nicer. Have the headlight conversion kit on the way.

What are your favorite "cheap mods"? :D :D

My two favorite cheap power mods are "frisbee" delete and 160 deg stat & fan sw.

My favorite (though not cheap) dress up mod was to take a MAD power seat control cover and replace the stock C4 logo with a 35th Anniversary logo from an old horn button.

Here though, repainting my previously brown valve covers with that MAD valve cover paint was a close second. It realy dressed up under the hood and it was cheap (except for the 1.6 ProMagnum RRs that went in at that time).

Did someone say my name?

My two favorite cheap power mods are "frisbee" delete and 160 deg stat & fan sw.
Even though I dont have a cool 'frisbe', on this part for 'free' mods. Definitely check out 65Z01's website. All sorts of free mod info there. TB-bypass, port&polish, cutting back the plugs....etc.

As for appearance mods, getting everything I can powder coated. Intake-bright red, accessory bracket - gloss black, Z-28 valve covers - gloss black.

Powder coating typically isn't cheap, but I know a guy.

Gold lettering on front and rear.

The little "catches" that hold the luggage cover closed ~$6.95, now I can actually close it.

Meziere WP ~$225.

Hi-Temp RTV to seal the opti ~$5.00.
