1993 C4 stereo/speaker issue

1993 C4 stereo/speaker issue
When I turn on my (original C4) stereo system, the rear (Bose) speaker makes a loud static noise, the right front speaker does not play at all and only the left front speaker plays. I don't know whether it is the speakers, the stereo itself or the amp that does not work.
Any suggestions on how to check which part is broken? Since one speaker actually works, it might be the other speakers that are dead and the rest of the system works fine.

This link has some good info it. I just replace a couple of mine that were buzzing with the Nissan amps that are listed in the link. Worked great and I only paid like $5 or so at the junkyard..Sure beats the $$$ alternative to a rebuild
