Default Building - a little nervous

Hey all-

If you have been seeing my posts of late, you would well know that my vett is undergoing a heart transplant, with a slightly more powerful, mean LT1 than stock.

I am tearing down the (blown) old long block this evening, and I am going to be getting the good block cleaned and "magnafluxed" prior to the build. I have a whole bunch of new parts, some aftermarket, most OE. I have taken due care in paying attention to the small things that my motor has while pulling the short block apart.

I have been watching the posts lately that have to do with the mods on a LT1, and have grown a little nervous about this rebuild. I am continuously seeing the "I put my cam in a little advanced/retarded" or, "my centerforce clutch is dragging - making shifting nearly impossible" or, "I am having serious problems with low HP after a 383 rebuild." I am not trying to shoot at any person(s) specifically on the forum. -- God knows you all have been *super* helpful...especially scorpion, but are there any idiosyncrasies that the LT1 possesses that I should keep a very close eye out for to make the fresh rebuild turn into a "trouble free" start and break-in? We (Scorpion and myself) are getting to the point where it is almost time to put her back in assembly mode, and I want to make extra sure that it is together all correctly.

Any suggestions?
