I can turn the **** by hand and move the headlight up and down, and when I first start the headlight it will move on its own then stop as the motor keeps going. Nothing is binding at that point as I can flop the headlight back and forth by hand and nothing catches or binds up. Gear on the motor looks good as it was just rebuilt. What am I missing?
I purchased a rebuild one because the module went out and fried the motor on my last one. I have not fully disassembled this one to see if the bushing was still good, that's my next step. I remember a lot of gear grinding last time the bushings went out.
I will have to look at mine closer in the morning.
maybe another video close up or two turning the headlights on and off on the linkage. if youc an get the wife to turn them on and off lol
but not thinking that is your problem did you run the wire in the roll pin yet? and any others.

Problem solved. So the issue was the metal part that goes inside the nylon gear was broke. The shaft that comes out of that and connects to the arm would just spin inside of the housing. No grinding noise because the motor and nylon gear were doing what they were supposed to. Yes the bushings on the movement need to be replaced, but that's another job for another day.
