93 Yvette cut o2 sensor wire help
So my vette misses around 2000 3000 rpms I put it on the lift at school and I realized the o2 sensor wire was cut I thought the miss was maybe my opti going out I tried new ignition coil it didn't change a thing when I floor it it doesn't cut out only around 2-3k any info is appreciated also tps is good I apologize for how bad the question sounds wrote in a hurry

I wouldn't run without an O2 sensor anyways. Since those things are in Millivolts, I would say that you need a new sensor and not use a butt connector.

If one of the oxygen sensor wires is cut - the Computer WILL turn on the Check Engine Light.
The fix couldn't be simpler - if the cut is on the oxygen sensor side of the electrical connector - simply replace that oxygen sensor. If the cut is on the chassis side of the connector - you're going to need to solder the wire back together. I highly recommend using heat shrink tubing over the solder joint to keep moisture at bay. As aklim said - this is not the place for a crimp on butt connector ...
