I just changed my plugs, wires, dist. cap, and rodar. I didn't reset the ecm on my 88. It has an L98 with aluminum heads and I haven't had any problems yet. Just be sure to use some Anti-Seize! :cheers:
Yeah, no need really. Changing plugs doesn't change any sensor readings so nothing should have to be reset.
BTW, you can reset the computer without messing up your radio stations or clock by just pulling the orange wire plug next to the battery for about 10 seconds then re-connect or the ECM fuse. If you do this, it will take a few miles of driving until the computer "re-learns" the performance parameters of your engine. It may run a little rough until this happens.
