Default Can i use a 88 plenum on a 87? no cold start to cold start????

i picked up a ported plenum to match up with my runners, i just noticed it is from a 1988 wich did not have a cold start system, the old plenum had a hole which the small tube on the runners went to,,,,if i use this new plenum there is no hole,,, but the hole in the runners will still be there and may be exposed? is this ok? or will it cause a huge vaccum leak? i think i can tap a small brass plug into the runner to plug the hole if i need to.....anyone ran into this before?

Then it must be from an '89 or newer as the '88 has a cold start injector.

You can use it by plugging the cold start fuel line and changing your EPROM.

You might search archives as I know several have done/posted on this.
