I have a 1995 Corvette a couple of months ago I was driving it to work and everything was fine till I got off the turnpike then it started running real rough I was able to make it to a gas station and shut it off I had it towed to my mechanic who told me the timing chain has gone but it was still running and driving but real rough so I don't believe it the timing chain can anyone please give me information what it might be thank you.
These don't sound like symptoms of a timing chain problem. Why does your mechanic suspect it's the cause of this fault? I'm highly suspicious of this diagnosis, and skeptical that a new chain will make this car run properly again. You might want to consider taking this car to a different mechanic.
As John observed, this sounds far more like an ignition-related failure, quite possibly the opti.
How many miles are on this engine? How well has it been maintained?
Has fuel pressure been checked?
Any codes set?
Has it been hooked up to a good scanner (not just a simple code reader)?
Sounds more like an Opti issue than timing chain. How many miles?

A lot of older small blocks used a plastic coated gear on the cam. The plastic aged and cracked. After some time the plastic gear teeth would break and the chain could jump a tooth and make for a bad running engine. Usually it would not jump only one tooth though and would not run.
I have not been into a '95 LT1, but I thought they did not use the plastic gear. If it is a steel gear, then I would think the chain would not be the problem, or it would not run at all.

WOW - As others have said.
At least check the fuel pressure first. Can you hear the pump run?
Then check for spark at the plugs and the coil and go from there.
