Default 1992 shift issues.

ok hello every one! as this is my first corvette i studied the board here to see if any one else was having the issues i am having and havent seen one like mine.. so here goes

ok bought a 92 corvette.. from where i work.. took it home and it drove fine..but it would make this sound from the tranny or rear wheels when you stepped on it hard.. no biggie.. still drove fine..

next morning no D drive but i had first and second just fine along with
regular D drive.. not the D with the circle around it..

so the car then went from that to just 1st.. and after sitting for a week i got first and second back with regular D drive.

but now after driving for awhile it wont shift into second from first.. seems that when it gets warm it wont shift..

ok so.. heres my question.. i was told that i need to adjust the tv/ars cables in the ars housing and pull the governer out and clean the hole for gunk..

any advise or ideas?

sorry for sporadic jumping around im at work typing this lol..

I would say your tranny is possibly cooked. But there is a slight chance dirt has clogged something up Clean the governer, change the fluid and filter and see if that gives you back any life. What do you consider normal looking tranny fluid ? Is it bright red, deep red , reddish brownish, rusty brownish?
How many miles on the car ?
