I think the going rate is anywhere from $200-400 labor not including a new alignment.

I paid 300 for mine including the alignment... well worth the cost.

I just recently finished lowering my '94. Did the rear first with longer grade 8 bolts bought from a local nuts & bolt supplier ~ cost @$5.00.

After unsuccessfully searching for a trustworthy local mechanic/shop to do the front I decided to tackle the job myself. There is a great tutorial in the C4 Tech Tips section ... it helped me as much and more than the factory manuals. Took my time and was very careful through the entire procedure. The job came out very well but was fairly time consuming, mostly because I had never done this before. The cost was for the wedges @$20.00. If you have it done, be prepared to pay at least $200 for labor and probably more since the job is fairly time intensive. Be sure that whoever does the work is extremely careful with the spring since you have to cut the rubber bumpers off. Good luck.
