Anyone using one? Where did you mount it and how did u route the lines? I am looking at putting one infront of the radiator (no A/C) but dont see any ways to run the lines and keep them level (can go up at the shocks and back down if needed).
I've used a DRM (Earls) cooler for a few years. I used to have it mounted in front of the radiator. Lines were routed forward from the sandwich adaptor at the oil filter, underneith the accessory pullies, left turn at the cross-member, along top of the cross member, up the left-hand side of the radiator, forward through the gap between the rad and inner fender (they barely fit underneith the hood support rod), in to the rad shroud through a hole I cut in the driver's side. I used braided stainless line due to the close proximity to everything.
I've since relocated the cooler to the driver-s side battery compartment with an electric fan (after relocating the battery to the rear of the car). I had to do this because I got a Griffin radiator. With the thicker rad, AC condensor, and cold-air induction, the oil cooler would no longer fit up front. It's not as efficeient this way, but it still works just fine.
Some have talked about mounting the oil cooler in front of the power steering cooler. Can anyone tell us about the pros/cons of that spot? Is the airflow OK there? Does it affect the PS Cooling?
Currently I am infront of the AC condenser, but I'd rather move it to increase AC efficiency.
