I did a search but didnt find my answer. I do not have an Fsm book yet, so cant look there. Anyhoo, at nightime, with the lights on, the passanger door is illuminated in amber around the handle. My driverside is not. My driverside handle lights up when you open the door with a white light, but when the door is closed, there is not light at all. Before I take it all apart to see if I have a bad bulb, does the driverside also have an amber light that is suppose to be lit when the lights are on ? Probably a stupid question, but hey its hump day.

The power window switch bulb is a GM # 10148011 and has been NLA for a long while. When discontinued it was quite expensive. I don't have a switch out of the car to remove for a visual. I'll poke around for an equivalent later today.
I have a list of all bulbs for the interior and the various changes year to year BUT many years ago a fellow did a post with '93 bulb references. I never confirmed them but a quick glance they look to be correct.

I can fix you up with an electronic '92 FSM and I believe I've a 2 volume red paper I may sell.
Thank you for the info and the offer, but I do not think you answered my question. Its not the power window switch. I am talking about the interior door handle. When you open the drivers door or the passenger door, A light comes on on both doors that is clear white in color. With the doors closed at night and the parking lights are on, besides the switches on the doors, there is an amber light glowing around the passenger door handle and not the drivers door handle. The window switch, and the mirror adjustment are lit on the drivers door but there is no glow around the door handle. Wanted to know if there is a bulb inside the drivers door that does this ?
yes there is sounds like just a new bulb is needed. on my 94 there is a hidden screw behind the lens if I remember right. just becareful taking the bezal off. they are old and brittle and sometimes frustrating but will come off. my 94 has two bulbs by each door handle it sounds like yours is the same.

I reacted to your "amber" and the switch back-lite is the only "amber" I'm familiar with.
I believe I have a bezel for an **early car and I'll check for a bulb socket for it if there is. For the '94 it's in the FSM and the handle bezel is different.
I suspect maybe a "leak" from the courtesy though. The bulb is an older dome lamp bulb and there's certainly the opportunity for the leak.
**Early being '90 - '93 after the interior change.
I can't put my hands on a bezel here with me but here is a right side that physically would fit '90 - '93 but originally would have been done in the correct interior color. I don't see any provisions for a bulb socket.

That's what I was thinking, two bulbs not one. One bulb lights up clear white when you open the door, and one bulb amber in color or an amber lens lights up with just a glow, when you have the parking lights on. just bright enough to kinda outline the door handle area.
Thank you. I will try and open that up and see whats up.
