Hi all I have fitted a new brake power booster and now my brake lights are on all the time. I have read to pull out the end and it will ratchet and also to turn it until it is the right length. I don't want to mess with it too much so which way is it. It is about 3 mm off. It is a 1985
Thx

You should be able to "push" towards the pedal and the plunger in the switch will turn off the lamps. It requires very little effort.
Actually I believe the FSM will suggest depressing the pedal, pushing the switch until it's fully seated against the clip/retainer and then pulling the brake pedal towards you to adjust.
