88 700r4 TCC solenoid
1988 700r4 stock rebuild
I have been searching threads for similar situation!
On a year rebuild been no issues till now!
D/D 100 miles a day! TCC will not stay locked in 3/4 but will in O.D. Brake switch is good TV cable good car shifts great nothing has changed but when in drive and let off throtle engine drops to idle and car coast! If driving down road and lightly touch break RPM do go up when I let off break can feel car grab back to speed! When in over drive I let off throtle engine will slow car down! Thinking TCC must be locked for that but when step on break it will fall out like it should!O.D. Kicks in at 63 and out 58 just like the day I put it back in! I do have a ALDL signal and hooked up a switch still falls out when let off throtle!My Tranny guy is no longer around to ask! Does the TCC lock out solenoid only work for drive mode? Does O.D. Maybe has its own TCC lock? I do all work myself just didn't want to pull pan and replace wrong part need for work everyday but Sunday !

The TCC is controlled by the ECM. It is based strictly on MPH. In my car it is set to lock at 40 MPH. It will lock in any gear when I go over 40 MPH. I have not tried Reverse ;-), but have tested 1, 2, 3 and OD.
