I'm getting ready to install a new engine in my '86 and have some plumbing questions.
#1 - Is it really necessary to run coolant through the oil filter adapter, or can I eliminate this? I live in a hot climate.
#2 - Same question about the throttle body. Any downside to deleting the coolant lines that run through it?
#3 - What's the best way to deal with the stupid clamp that holds the EGR tube to the manifold? I'm thinking of grinding the "ears" off of the old clamp to make it round, then putting a hose clamp around it.

That's an oil COOLER. You decide if you need it or not.

Many people have bypassed the throttle body coolant (heater) lines with no ill effects reported.
