90 automatic shifting from 1st to 4th ?
my 90 corvette has not been out of the barn for 6-8 months , was fine when I parked it! took it out for a ride and was acting strange would take off fine but then shifted into 4th bogged down and almost stalled , yet if I manually shift (automatic) it goes through all the gears fine!
Any ideas what's wrong ?

The shifts in Drive are not controlled by the same internal passages in the valve body as the manual shifting so that test doesn't really tell you anything.
What does it do if you put the shifter in Drive vs. OD?
I recommend a fluid and filter change. Then a trip to a performance oriented trans shop. They've seen it all and will know what's wrong and how to fix it.
