Reinstalling Under Dash Trim
sounds like a stupid question, but on my 1987, I had the carpet replaced on the underside of the dash on the passenger side - but for the life of me can't get a self tapping screw to engage and secure the plastic trim
The trim I'm talking out has a light and cutout for the HVAC vent.
If the passenger lifted their feet whilst sitting, they'd kick it...
Hope that explains what I'm referring to.
My question: Is there any "inserts" the screws should "bite" into?
As there were no screws holding it in the first place, help on the size screw required would also be great.
With the carpet covering any "inserts", i can't see what they need to attach to - should've taken a pic first

Can't feel anything with my fingers as well
A pic of the underside minus carpet would be awesome
I may drill a 4th hole to pick up the 4th clip-on nut, and see if the boss on the bottom of the heater core housing is actually for a screw.
