Wow! Trans repair makes a difference
Had the 'vert out for the second time since getting it back from the shop for 4L60E automatic transmission repair. They replaced the Converter Clutch Control Valve in the pump, and come to think of it I think they went ahead and replaced the pump as well. The car feels more responsive now, before the repair, after the car got up to operating temp (and trans up to temp) the car felt like some of the 'snap' would fade from the way the tranny felt. You can tell now that what was happening was when the converter valve got hot it must not have been letting the converter make full use of the torque the engine was delivering, because now... ooooh baby, it feels snappier and you can tell the admittedly stockish power the engine is making is at least being applied to the drive shaft more effectively and efficiently now
