Inside Rear View Mirror Lights

Inside Rear View Mirror Lights
When I turn my headlights on the little lights in the inside rear view mirror do not come on anymore. The larger lights still work
when I turn on that switch.
Is there a way to open the mirror and check / change the light bulbs?
I removed the factory Bose Radio and installed a non-Bose after market radio using one of those boxes to hook up with the Bose
speakers. Would that have something to do with these lights? I've notice that my electronic A/C / Heat inside and outside air temp
numbers do not dim when I dim the rest of the display lights.
