Hey guys I own a 1984 corvette and recently I've had a **** ton of problems but I'm dedicated to my car. I recently had my car over heat while in idle a mile from my house so I drove it home ASAP. When I got home I popped open the hood and noticed that radiator fan was not working. I went and replaced the motor but when I turned on the car the fan was still not running and mysteriously the car stalled and turned off. (Power was still on) so I'm thinking the fan problem might be the Fan switch or the thermostat. But please help me. I'm only 17 years old and I am still learning. Thanks guys -Brandon
What was the temp? Go by the digital not the analog. Take the top of the shroud off and clean inbetween and the fins. Look at the temp sender for the digital.

Fan is a pretty basic circuit in an '84; there is a temp switch located in the right cylinder head, there is a relay, there is the associated wiring and there is the fan motor. You've probably eliminated the motor; the original probably wasn't bad, and now you've replaced it anyway.
I'd test the temp switch and the relay, if it were me. Cooling fan schematic; bottom right....
The quick test is to remove the connector on the coolant temperature switch and ground the connector pin. The cooling fan relay should turn on and the cooling fan also.
