When you swing the caliper out, there are little notches on one side of both brake pads. Opposite the spring side. The new bias spring/clips snap on with the round butt end pointing outwards on either side. It'll look the same as the oher side of the pads with the factory spring/clip. You may want to spread the clips slightly with some pliers for a more snug fit. When your swinging the caliper back in, be careful and make sure the clips don't pop off. Once you go to slide the pin back in you'll notice much more resistance from the caliper. Hope this helps! :chevy

It is possible the brakes will still rattle after the clips. Often the pins that hold the calipers in the mounts get beat up so as they get smaller the calpers rattle. I had to machine my own pins about .010" bigger then tap them in. now there quiet. :smash:

There's supposed to be an anti-rattle pad behind the inner pad; I used some black RTV on the back of each pad before pressing into the caliper and the pistons and no rattles.

Yeah, sometimes it is the calipers that are worn and the pins are worn and the brackets get worn......just too much wear going on all around. The bigger pin mentioned earlier sounds like a good idea.
