Quick question about activating 1985 Corvette injectors
I am going to clean my own injectors and observe the spray patterns using a method I found on YouTube. Do I put 12 V to the stock 1985 injectors to make them fire? I will fire them very quickly so the coils do not get burned out with too long of a voltage pulse.

12v make them fire?
Injectors typically have a constant 12V to them and the ECM pulses ground to turn them on/off.
Seems like only driver side injectors. Are opening. On the passenger side ,I've changed just about everything including ecm. New injectors. New spark plugs New wires I have New distributor I am getting pulse to all injectors and when i remove spark plug there is spark But passenger side exhaust does not get hot. Like not firing fuses are good for injector side I have even swapped the injectors from left side to right side. And it's the same SMH
I see there are recent responses, but the OP is from a while ago, did you ever try your YouTube injector cleaning process?
I'm not sure if you get much more out of cleaning the injectors out of the car, vs running an in-tank fuel injector cleaner... That said, it is also another option to just replace them. Are you dealing with old factory injectors, I've heard they can be unreliable as they age... You can get a whole set for about $200 I'm more frequently posting on Thirdgen.org, but one of their sponsors is South Bay Injectors. I just ordered a set of injectors from them.
I did this to my injectors. Well kinda. I had a Fram fuel filter disintegrate and sent particles to the injectors and plugged them all. So I removed the injectors and removed as much as I could by hand and used compressed air to blow out the fuel line. Then I made an adapter with rubber hose that connected the straw from a can of carb cleaner to the injector inlet. I used a 12vdc battery and a small push button. I started spraying and pushing the button on and off. I only gave the injector power for a second at a time at most. I did this on the inlet and the outlet of each injector until each one was spraying and clear. It was a massive PITA but it was the only way to get all that junk out. So I learned to never buy Fram fuel filters.
Hi, i did the cleaning method yes. Worked awesome.
Ive done alot since i posted this. The only time i replace injectors now is if they are shorted.
For the guy who has one bank not firing, that sounds electrical. You can apply 12v to each injector in the car and ensure they will click if given 12v. They may be plugged but still click. thats where the cleaning fluid come in.
But if you swapped injectors side to side and the dead side stayed the same, obviously you have electrical issues
