Hey all. About to kick off a swap to EBL Flash in my '84 Crossfire; I've done a lot of reading and feel I'm as prepared as I can be without actually "doing" the task...so I suppose my final step is to ask you folks for advice.
Crossfire-specific info would be most helpful, but I'd love to hear from any experienced voices, really. Pitfalls, pro-tips, anything you'd like to share about your project & process would be most appreciated!
I have read that thread & others of his, but thank you gleaned a lot of great info from his project. I may have more tweaking to do due to adding the head swap into the mix; hopefully the Vortec spark mapping will be a good starting point (heads are aluminum, but heart-chambered), blended with the TB4 starter BIN that came with EBL.
One thing I just realized is the need to add an IAT sensor--don't know how I missed it before! Got the sensor/pigtail/grommet on order; will measure when they arrive to see what size hole saw is required. Thinking I will do the cold air duct match cut at the radiator shroud & seal it as I've seen others here do, and find a spot near there for the IAT to avoid heat soak.

You may be aware this mod will allow road spray to enter your air intake during wet weather. The '83 prototypes had this opening, but they eliminated this opening in the '84's to solve this problem.

Ah, I was not aware of that, thanks for the heads up! Perhaps a couple of fine mesh dam guards could help abate the problem? Or...a slide-shut vent for rainy driving
