Default LT4 maintenance

Looking to possibly do plugs and wires on my LT4, but am not sure how old they are. There is a possibility the are original, which is scary. The can runs totally fine. Wires are red (was this factory)? Also, what brand and type of spark plugs came with these engines? Any ideas for good brands to replace everything with?
Thanks!

Just about every LT4 I've seen has red wires, so I'd say it was from the factory. I put AC Delco plugs in my LT1. If you change the wires, go with Taylor Spiro Pro. Love mine

The original plug wires on the LT4 are red and have the cylinder number printed on them. The ACDelco replacements do not have the numbers on them. The originals can be worth some good money if they are in good shape, so don't just throw them away.

Doubtful you need to replace the wires unless you can visibly see signs of cracks...copper doesn't lose its ability to transfer electricity, even plugs might be fine...of course all of this is based on mileage of the car.

Yeah, service manual states to replace plugs at 100,000 miles and inspect spark plug wires.
