New Gears... WOW...
OK, Just had the 3.73's installed today on my 96 LT-1 and I am having way too much fun! I expected a big difference from the 2.59's but it's even better than I expected! If I could suggest one kick butt mod to anyone looking to make a significant change to their cars performance, I gotta say go with the gears. 3.73's are VERY driveable even for the everyday driver and responsive at all times. Definitely my best Mod yet!!!!!!!! Thanks for all of your suggestions fellas! Now I gotta get my speedo programmed! Guess I gotta buy a programmer huh? :D :D :D

well done on the gears !!! my vette goes in tomorow morning for the 3.54 gears and dana 44 becouse I got fed up with the 2.59 :rolleyes: Hope I will have some performance out of mine , like you did !! well done man !! :cheers: wish me luck :)

My 3.54's are sitting in my living room floor just waiting for me to put them in. I wish I had the time to do it this week but it looks like my tires will survive a few more days. Hopefully they stay in this time more than 2 miles. :cheers:

OK, sorry it took so long to reply, But I can't stop playin with my car and toasting mustangs!! Even beat a C5 auto tonight and stock Camaro SS. I'll be looking for new tires soon! Anyway the job was done by this guy Ed at http://www.partsforvettes.com. He happens to be located about 2 miles from my home. It was either gonna be him or the Vette Doctors who are advertised all over this forum but, nothing against the Docs. Ed gave me a 1 year unlimited mile warranty on the complete job, plus offerred me $300 off on the trade of my 2.59 gears. All together the parts kit, carrier etc. including the install. was about $950. I couldn't be more pleased. I'm sure 3.54's are a nice jump too but I gotta say if I had to do it again I would go with 3.73's again and again!!! Good luck!!! :cheers:

Just ordered the 4.10's today.... have heard nothing but GOOD about this
although I think my autocrossing will take a hit as currently I don't have to shift out of 1st vs the C5's that are always hitting the limiter.
But... for the gain in street and strip performance.... I went for it. Ordered
from Al Kindler.. the dude who supplies all the ZR1 crowd with theirs.
Will probably post some unintelligible babble once these are installed.. :D

Canuck--What gears are ya running now for autocrossing? I'm certain It'll be a whole new world with 4.10's :D

Dizwiz24...I think he was talking about his change in ratios, not trap speeds. His gear ratio went from 2.59 to 3.54.
