Time for new injectors and am considering FIC. For those that purchased from them are you happy? I have a stock motor so was thinking about sticking with the 24lb, opinions? Rebuilt or new.
I didn't use them in my Corvettes, but did in my nephew's Jeep.
FIC was good to work with. I had one injector that was not spraying a good pattern (almost nothing). Whether the injector was that way as delivered or during installation I got some dirt or something in there to clog it I don't know. But FIC made replacement quickly with no hesitation even after we discussed possible causes. Quick initial delivery and good follow up when I had a problem = good service the way I see it.
If you have Multecs, get a rebuilt set. If not, send them out to be cleaned and tested every few years. Some think it is excessive but I seem to see variance in the "before" and "after" results which reinforces the idea that I should be sending them out every so often. Works out to about 3 years.
I purchased new Bosh III's from FIC back in 2012. Easier to install than stock (you don't need a clip to hold them to the top rail) so they bolt from the top fuel rail to the intake. Idle was much improved and acceleration was much improved. I bought the 22 lbs. for $329. I was doing a head job so I rebuilt the entire fuel rail system O-rings, except for the 9th injector (cold) as there were no parts for it, plus all distributor upgrades, coil, and wires. One happy 88 owner now at 133,000 miles.

I have tested the injectors before and after a time or two and his tests pretty much come close to the bench test I have so I'm reasonably certain his work is honest as far as the testing and cleaning goes.

Are you sure those are 22#? They look like the blue 24# Bosch III.
Have the 24lb in my 93 LT1. Check this out, I had a set go bad from FIC in less than a year. Called them, I was told to mail them out to their address. They confirmed they were bad. Supposedly a 3 year warranty right? Nope. His worker told me I needed to buy a new set. What about the warranty?? Nor did I want to buy a new set of Multecs.

Did you speak with John? There site says 3 years on all rebuilt Bocsh III's?
To Kimmer, if you order from FIC also order the gasket kit which was $30 for my 88. I don't know why the cold start injector is ignored in this kit. I re-lubed the O-rings on the cold start injector side and had no issues.
I will have to look at the engine to see what color my injectors are. I positively know they are not yellow. 88 is sitting 6 ft. high right now. I only saved the PayPal paperwork that says 22 lbs. What's the big difference between the 22's and 24's?
