If the compressor is working, even though it's cycling, all circuits to & from the module are usually ok and a no blower condition is caused by an open at the blower motor connector. You can trace the harness from the connector back to the module, but the open is usually right at the connector (look for melted wires). Black is ground; purple is hot. Ground is shared or spliced into the module ground and runs to frame. With the clutch working, ground from module through the splice is ok. Hot lead is a variable voltage - 0 (no blower) to 12 (max). Should have some voltage in all positions except off. To check blower motor, remove connector and jumper from battery. If it runs, blower is good. As to cycling, pressure check system, but more than likely, it's low on gas. Above 70 degrees, shouldn't cycle at all. Below, less than 8 per minute is considered normal.

yeah, first thing i did was put a power supply on the blower..it's fine as is continuity from the blower connector to the module connector...I'm waiting for a factory manual to show up so i can follow the circuit back to the head unit..this is ecc, not manual...but then, i guess you figured that out right away

oh..one more thought...does the head unit have solder and oxidation problems as does the digital cluster? I'm thinking it may be a good idea to pull the control board and resolder the main components..what's your take on it?

fathermojo-

I can copy & fax the diagrams from my service manual if you're in a hurry. I've got a 96, if that's compatible.

fullboogie...that'd be greatly appreciated although i'm not sure about system compatability over a 10 year span....the manual should be here by week's end and i can be reworking a bad headlight motor in the meantime. Thanks for the offer though.
