I just bought a Y pipe and stock GM exhaust from a buddy of mine. It's for my 88 vert. The old system rotted out. The Y pipe and mufflers are in great shape (Paid $25 for the whole system).
I noticed that there is a plug in the two inside exhaust pipes, the two outside pipes are wide open.
Is there a way to remove the two plugs in the inside exhaust pipe??? Can it be drilled and using a dent puller, yank them out??? They look like they are only held in place by a pressure fitting.
A long metal rod and a hammer did the trick on my "87. According to previous posts, that is supposed to be good for 5 hp. It will give a little more buzz in the driving compartment.
