I am using a friends lift this weekend to do a ton of maintenance on my car. I have had the brake bias spring for a year or tow just sitting on my shelf and I want to install it this weekend. I have read instructions on this link https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...55-brakes.html but am wondering if I have to remove the master cylinder to do this, and if so how do I do that? I have the FSM for my 1991 but it really doesn't give instruction for removing the master cylinder. Lastly, if I remove the master cylinder do I need to bench bleed it or can i use a vacuum bleeder from harbor freight? Please let me know how to do this all. Thanks
On my 94 I didn't need to remove the master cylinder when I installed the DRM brake bias spring. Once all complete I did flushed all 4 corners using a mighty vac pump, just make sure you keep the cylinder as close to full as possible during the procedure.

The end plug can be tight if its an old master cylinder with some corrosion, remember the brake booster is fragile plastic.
If in doubt remove the master cylinder and place it in a vice, you have to bleed the brakes anyway.
Another tip, gravity bleed the brakes to save the booster diaphragm it can tear with the extra pedal travel. Had that happen to me
The ABS will trap any air, bleed the brakes and take the car for a drive and slam the brakes on to get the ABS pulsating.
Then bleed the rear again and the pedal should be better.
