My '87 is losing brake fluid. No leaks at the MC, or any of the calipers. I suspect the MC is the culprit, but can't find where the fluid is going. No fluid inside the compartment. Can fluid get into the booster unit?

i have read that it does and eats the rubber diaphram. never seen it.
i assume you have inspected the lines and brake caliper piston seals?

Yes. All new calipers, rotors and pads. What gets me is no fluid under car or in footwells. Also no fluid in ABS compartment behind drivers seat. Thanks
yes. i see it all to often. the master cylinder seal where the rod enters the brake booster leaks into the brake booster. it won't start leaking till its completely filled well 1/2 way then starts finding its way through gaps in booster. i suggest separating m/c from booster and taking a peek inside booster. most likely this is where all your fluid has been going. and if so replace both m/c & booster. Good luck keep us posted on your findings.

Yup! That's it! The two vents in the booster; one high, one low. Lower vent shows brake fluid seepage. Will replace both. Thanks to All!
