SYS light on
On my 96 LT4 while driving every once in a while the SYS light next to the speed will flash. When I push the guages button to scroll through options it stops and all things are normal again. It has only happened a couple of times, and when it did the SYS only flashed a couple of times then went back to normal. All the guages work(analog & digital readouts) and no dummy lights ever came on. Any ides?

Happened to me when my battery was going bad. Also, if the prom holder in your ECM has come loose, you will get a flashing SYS light, and terrible performance (limp home mode).

It has been running great with no trouble at all. It quite possibly needs a battery, it has a Napa battery now. I was going to take care of that anyway. I have gone over the connections at the ECM, but I'll double check them for good measure. Thanks for the info. :cheers:
