Default Throw out bearing

I have a 1990 ZR1, I believe I need a throw out bearing.. can it be replaced alone, or does it need the complete clutch kit. GM no longer has these parts.. who the best to get it from .

You don't necessarily need a clutch, but it's worth looking at while it's apart. Trans has to come out to change it. It takes just a few minutes to check disc

What leads you to believe you need a release bearing? It's certainly possible but maybe more likely if you've got a "squeal/scream" it might be the crankshaft insert(pilot bearing/bushing).

There's actual lots to look at if you've issues, a cracked fork or a bad pivot stud are possibilities.

Thanks for responding, I hear something spinning when I first Start it I push the clutch in and it stops. I was talking to another zr1 owner told him that and that is what he said.. I can feel it a little and it feels like it's coming from the transmission.. I can hear constantly when I accelerate... I thought it might be one of the four cams. I hope not..
