i've tried to find info on the various era's of L98 and it may just be that there were only certain models that involved the EGR diagnostic temperature switch.
other models used information from the coolant temperature, throttle position, and manifold air pressure sensors.
I knew that had to be a MAF (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor on Craig Marcho's engine (pic) !!! :D i looked all over my block and couldn't find it!

Yup! '90 and '91 use MAP..... That's where it's located, on the side of the plenum.
I don't know if the '90 and '91 use a temp sensor or not. I never bothered to check. When I got my code I knew it was a direct result of the exhaust mods, so I just disabled the check. If anyone has a '90 or '91 and wants me to do this, I will if you send your memcal to me.
Hey Marcho hows it going. If I send you my chip can you turn that dam thing off please? I've had to look at that light for the past five years. It's pretty embarassing when the light comes on and fills the interior with red light and your girlfriend thinks your car is about to break down. If you don't mind, email me your address and I'll drop it in the mail. Thanks.
