What would the following mod yield?
OK guys... what these mods do to the power/torque curve?
LT-1 (stock) with stock exaust manifolds, no pre-cats (custom bent pipe replacing them), no main cat (straight pipe replacement) and flowmaster mufflers. Any thoughts?
I adopted mine this way and I have been thinking its a little soft in off the line power but the horsepower is still there. I was thinking that this would lose torque and not yeild any real gain in horspower.
I'm still working on this steep learning curve :crazy: :lol:

you will lose torque down low with that because of loss of back pressure, but you get it back at higher rpm
all together you prolly got around 5-10hp

I didn't feel any real improvement or loss with just my flowmaster mufflers. I still had the cats intact though. You can give up a little low end without them.
Just remember, you won't come out of the hole like the L98 cars do, you'll just leave them at the end :D
