Default Intake Question on L98

I have an oil leak at the intake manifold that I plan on getting fixed this winter. I figure that since the mechanic will be tearing the intake all the way down, why not upgrade to bigger intake, bigger runners and ported plenum. I found someone willing to sell me their "barely used" TPiS Big Mouth Intake, Siamesed Runners and Ported Plenum to use on my 90. Is it worth the $$$ to do this? I want to get the oil leak fixed regardless. Also, I don't plan on doing any head/cam work. I've often read that the air intake on the L98 is one of it's drawbacks for making better power.

Just curious to see what you guys think.

One side piece of information here. Don't fall for a "barely used" intake. Think about it... what does it do? It sits on top of the engine and air flows through it. Exactly how "used" can it get? :D
