6 spd ZF replacement
Need some advice. Over the wknd. clutch went out in the middle of busy intersection. Left with two choices, sit still and probably get hit head on or broadside or jam into gear and risk ruining transmission to get out of the way--I chose to jam and move. Obvious result: 1st and 2nd now grind to no end and only 3rd through 6th work correctly. Any recommendations on most reasonable way to fix (replace) transmission. Dealer told me total replacements run 4-6k. Is there any cheaper way?
