I have a friend of a friend who just wrecked his vette. He has a bunch of performance parts for sale. I was hoping for some opinions from you guys. He has the Hot cam kit with the 1.6 rrs. is this a pretty worthwhile mod? Do you need a custom chip burned to accomodate it? He also has a Corsa cat back, Hurst shifter, 4.10 gears, and some kind of CAI kit (not sure which one). I can buy it all for around 1000 bucks. Cost of purchasing the stuff and having it all installed is not an issue. Are they all pretty worhtwhile purchases, or would you guys forget a few of them. Thanks for your opinions.
Thanks for the input. One more thing I was wondering about. How do the Corsa cat backs sound. I have always used flowmasters in the past, but am a bit tired of the exhaust drone I get with them. I dont want too quiet though. Anyone with Corsas, how do they compare to Flows?
Since you asked, I think the Corsa's aren't what everybody thinks they are cracked up to be. If nothing else they are WAY overpriced. They sound OK outside the car, but if you want it to really sound mean, stick with your flowmasters. Interior sound levels they are supposed to be as quiet as stock, something flowmaster certainly isn't.
It's a pretty system and very high quality, but personally I couldn't justify full price. However, since you're getting all of that stuff for that price, latch onto it. The Corsa's are a complete cat back, so you can install them and if you don't like them just put your old system back on and sell the Corsa. You can't lose.
