Default pressure cycling switch on 85

well found the headach for the ac, played aroiund and just ahppened to touch the pressure cycling switch and the compreessor kicked on, paper clipped the plug and it worked, but when i attach the plug to the switch i have to jiggle it to work, my question is do i need to evacute the system to change the switch, it sure is nce having ac again..lol

Not sure but believe it will screw off without loosening charge.

Switch screws on to a Schrader valve fitting = no loss of Freon when changing the pressure switch.
