Has anyone did this conversion? I'm getting kinda fed up with failing opti's, and would like to get away from them being my source of fire power since they seem to not last or fail right off the bat. It would be nice to be able to really test one before you install it. Any experiences with the LTCC.
The LTCC still uses the opti sensor to make it work. It eliminates the secondary ignition in the cap, and the possibility of the rotor (providing it's removed) causing failure at high RPM. So you would still need a quality opti sensor.
I did the LTCC kit on my drag Firebird. HATED IT! Chased a high RPM break-up for 3 months before I converted everything back.
There is another company doing them now, using a totally different system. Can't recall the name, but they just released the final product a few months ago and it's been reviewed well.

I did it and never had an issue with it, only had it on the car for a short period of time though, now im building the engine up. I was thinking about going 24x but i spoke to the owner and he said he hasn't had experience with it on C4s. If your thinking about doing it let me know, may sell mine and go 24x. Still deciding. Even though it still uses the opti, it only uses the optical eye signal, so basically its one big cam sensor now. One thing the opti has though is great accuracy.
PM me and ill tell you all about the setup and how it works

Something was absolutely wrong<< with your install OR other components. possibly the Opti high / low
to many people have this LTCC system installed. 8 coils hands down. will outperform!! it is more expensive. you do need to maintain 8 coils. I can assure you it provides better spark.

Agreed. using the wrong wireset will cause issues as well as bad grounds, or grounds to your coils. i do think the EFI24x system is much better, but requires alot more work and fab.
