Processor speed is vastly over rated. Auto engines are low frequency devices. 6000 RPM is 100 Hz. barely breaking into the audio spectrum. To a micro processor it is like an hour glass. The latest and fastest O2 sensors run at 6.6 Hz. Temperatures under 1 Hz. MAP and TPS maybe 20 to 40 Hz. I fail to see an advantage unless a hundred more tasks added.

The integration of high speed computer systems throughout every aspect of the drivetrain can simply adapt faster than anything we have seen before. The end results speak for themselves!

I still like the LT4, and it's relatively archaic to me, which is why it fascinates me like a kid with an old toy they used to dream of having. But I don't let that allow me to lose sight of the truth.
the new stuff is better, but some of the old isnt that bad.

for example: i am using my 93 stock speed density batch fire inj computer on my boosted 600 hp lt1.

i even have my fueling coming on with boost (by using a 2 bar map sensor and halving ve table values).

it all works, its smooth, its seamless.

unlike fords of the same era,gm's old computers even have spark/knock retard system

now where i lose out to modern computers is idle quality and a couple highway mpg.
my idle has a slight odor to it and the best i ever see is 22-24 mpg highway.

in 94, they went to maf system and sequential injection which is a vast improvement.

94 and up is where the real improvements lie.

This statement ^^^ is completely FALSE!

You HAVE to be kidding!? Right?

You know what a High Speed CAN network is?

Heck! Cadillac has been toying with running fiber in their cars! Don't lie to these people!
