90 vacum question

That is not a very good photo, but from what I see, I believe it is the MAP sensor, which means Manifold Absolute Pressure. It measures engine load (incoming air) so that the ECM can adjust timing and fuel mixtures.

I would say no, it is not the MAP sensor. Even tho a '90 has one, that is not it. I vote for the EGR control solenoid. mounts on a little bracket, on one the T-stat housing bolts.....

That's an EGR solenoid. The longish vacuum line on the right goes to the EGR valve. The other vacuum connection goes to the bottom of the throttle body. On the right end of the solenoid is a black foam rubber filter. They frequently get lost for various reasons. Mine is still intact.

Hi Cliff, I removed the EGR solenoin on my 88 while fitting a T stat and now I can't see what should connect to the black plastic inlet that has a barbed end.
We both have the same DR136 solenoid.
There is a rubber piece that joins the two thin vacuum tubes and on mine it has always been plugged into the metal inlet.
On your photo, it looks like that rubber joiner plugs into the black plastic inlet
Here's mine, hope you can tell me what plugs into the black inlet circled in yellow!
BTW I have posted about this - https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-solenoid.html where WV ZR-1 kindly posted a link to this thread. I'm posting here in case you can solve my mystery, I don't have any loose hoses around!
