car is stubling in low rpms and then stalls when slowing down for a light..This only happens once and awhile. I scanned the ecm,,,,,no codes showing up. When the car stalls, its at average temp.I just bought the car a realized that there was no coolent in the tank. Even with no coolent in the tank before, It did not overheat. I also noticed when sitting the car gets hotter (110o C/230oF) Is this normal? In the past few days when the car started stalling I have been getting worse and worse gas milage, any ideas? Also when the car stalls it take a while before in will crank over and stay alive.
im not to familiar with the lt1 motor, but 230 does not seem unreasonable.. chances are the fan does not kick on until somewhere in that area.. my car the fan does not come on until 227degrees..
WoW!! No coolant! Not trying to be an a** but didn't you check the car out before you bought it. It sounds like the previous owner took p***poor
care of the car. I'd take it straight to the dealer for a good going over.
started up the car today, service engine light came on, I got a code 43..could this be my only problem? I know its the knock sensor/ecm wireing
thanks Todd
