I get code 32 only after driving at highway speeds(50-70)
30 minutes or so give or take a few minutes. This is the only time I get 32.The egr is brand new Delco.Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? Thanks
Code 32 is set in the ECM when the following conditions are met:
1. Coolant temp is greater than 80 degrees C (176F).
2. EGR duty cycle commanded by the ECM is greater than 75%.
3. TPS is less than 1/2 throttle but not at idle.
4. Codes 21,22,23,33, and 34 not present.
The above conditions must be present for about 4 minutes.
The most common reason for code 32 present in our year C4's is a malfuncting EGR switch. Replace that one-wire device on the heat-riser pipe coming up from the right exhaust. The one with the silver insulation cloth around it. About $20.
I'm getting the "32" after driving about 5 minutes above 70 mph. It doesn't show up at slower speeds.
A lot of the code 32 discussions seem to be for the L-98 engines.
Anybody know about the 32 code on the LT-1????
I have replaced the EGR solenoid and the MAP sensor. The EGR valve itself seems to be working ok, but I guess that's the next thing I will replace. I have recently put ACCEL injectors in, but I have had the "32" popping up or about a year now. I usually just ignore it, and it goes away after about an hour of driving.......or I can stop and restart the car and the code is gone. It usually doesn't come back after the restart.
It would be nice to have the code GONE for good!!!!!!!
Thanks for the replys guys.Vader was your gas cap oem or after market?I replaced mine with a locking one for peace of mind.I'm gonna try putting the oem back on and see if it makes any difference. If not I'll try the temp sensor. Thanks again :chevy
