Many use the racetroics spelling is off but comes with everything you need. It is the easiest fuel pump you will ever do about the only thing easy on a vette. LMAO Even a place to set your beer and never even need to crawl stoop.
Thinking back on what caused me to pull mine in the first place.. Apparently the C4's have problems with water entering the tank from the neck/gasket area.
I just could not get mine to run right. Traced it back to water contaminated fuel.
It is probably worth looking closely at the fuel in the tank while you have it apart for this reason.
If there is a problem, you can reach the whole inside of the tank from the sender area and mop it out.
Giving this thread the old bump-a-roo in an attempt to close it out. It appears my issues stemmed from being very low or out of gas from an inaccurate gas gauge that was working normally before all this started. I put a couple of gallons of gas in and it started right up but was still running poorly and giving me a hard time starting, I kept running it until it smoothed out. I put some fuel cleaner in and kept running it. I cleaned the throttle body and the FPR and that seemed to finally fo the trick. Filled it up with gas it took over 13 gallons. I have been checking my fuel pressure at various times and it is normal. It sprays all over the place without the gauge attached to it. I reconnected all the FPR vacuum hoses and it still runs well.
I came the conclusion that the fuel gauge was inaccurate after I drove 65 miles and the gauge only moved one bar, I'm only getting 9.7 MPG.
