Default high cold idle

Hey Guys,

I need help, I have a 1984 Corvette that cold idles at 2300rpm for about 4 minutes and then backs down to around 700rpm at idle in park. The car will run correctly the remainder of the day, however after the engine gets cold we have the high rpm again.

I have changed both idle air control valves and that did not help.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

larry9j

I'd update the coolant temp sensor & plug in to the newer style. Check for vacuum leaks.
