Default cold start injector

Does anyone know if you can eliminate the cold start injector on a 1987 C4 L98 intake, so a later model accel TPI manifold can be used?? thanks, gary

I did on my 86 when I put a hi flow intake on. I just cut, crimped and tack welded the fuel line where it comes out of the fuel rail.

my understanding is that yes you can remove it from the thne and block it off.

not sure about a later year L98 intake on the 87.

Yes, you can eliminate it. You can purchase a plug to plug off the fuel rail. It will take a few more cranks to start the car, unless you change the programing to add a little more fuel at startup. If you change the program, you will not notice that it is gone and startup will be like normal.
