I probably already know the answer, but I will see what you guys think.
I am in the midst of building a 406 CI engine. It will be topped off with everything I currently have on the 350. The setup will be EXACTLY like corkyvette's. He and I are gonna work on it together. He is running 11.124@122 N/A. His compression and mine too is gonna be ~12.1:1. I know this is a tad high for a street/strip car, but mine is primarily just a strip car. Corky is still running the stock prom with MAF and a low stall converter through the stock exhaust! I would imagine mine is gonna be a little quicker...but here is the question.
The pistons and connecting rods in this critter are gonna be forged. I know the compression is a bit high, but would it be possible to run a "small" shot of nitrous in the car to boost it into the 10's if necessary?
Lets hear your thoughts on this.....I would imagine I would only need about 50hp to get it into the 10's. Then again it might already be there with what I put together...Lets hope!
You sute be ok useing some nitrous on that engine just use realy good fuel when you use the juice and take timeing out as well, make sure you read your plugs after the first runs to make sure it dont run lean because you would not want a melt down.

PS you will have to make sure your fuel pump can handel it too.
You may want to get a progresive controller for the juice if you do it then you can use it from the start, have it come in 5% at the line and have it be all the way in after 2 sec.
It is much better on the engine to have it too because then you dont have it all come in at one time, you can get them on ebay for about $150.
I would definately use a progressive controller with a wet system. I will have to consult with Corky about the use of it. I think the car will be damn close to 10s N/A. What do you think?
It is hard to say if you have the same stuff as him or even better stuff then I would say yes, but every car is different it would have been better to know what you would have done if your engine was in good shape then it would have been better to guess.
But going from 12.9 to 10.9 is a lot to ask from just getting 50 more CI.
But if he is running so close to 10 I dont see why you cant do that too.
