Default C6 Wheels on a 94 C4

I purchased a set of 2007 C6 wheels for my 94 C4, while the front back spacing is the Same @ 56mm the rears are 79mm, Will I need spacers and if so What size?? Stock wheels are 9.5x17 -56mm C6 wheels are 10x19 - 79mm. I have seen many C4's with these wheels however have not been able to find out anything.

Thank you for the reply, I think some C6 Rears are 59mm offset however the ones I have are 79 mm so I am thinking I need 1.5 inch spacers but I am not sure. The Wheels are 1/2 inch wider and the offset is approximately 1.1/8 inches more. If you know what the offset on the wheels you have, it would help me to determine if I am correct. Again, THANKS for getting back to me. I know a lot of folks have made the upgrade so someone will know for sure.

OP - I'd think that a 19mm (3/4") adapter/spacer for the rears might be ideal and is an easier find "off the shelf" than maybe a more specific dimension.

Fitment is a "personalization" thing that generally snapshots or others opinions maybe need to be avoided. A "look/see" first hand much better. Opinions of what looks good/OK differ dramatically - fit ain't the same as "fitment".

You bought wheels with no tires or you bought tires and wheels?

Just Wheels, "fitment" to me pertains to a proper no-issue fit. Everything fitting within the fender well and no interference. As stated, I have seen many c4's with these wheels so I know it is possible. I have 1" and 1.5" spacers coming being no one could tell me what I needed. I saw where Camaro's require 2.5" spacers but I do not think that will be necessary on a 94 c4.

1" pushes the rears to a fit something 9mm greater than your rears are now and that should do well. Section width of the tire used contributes to fitment. I actually thought of mentioning both the 3/4 & 1 but thought it easier to maybe just try to duplicate the OE 9.5 @ 56 fit that's there now.

I battled the which size spacer to get, there is so MN any opinions and are also different size and back spacing for the c6 wheels. Mine are 18x8.5 with 56mm offset and 19x10 with 79mm offset and I decided before I ordered spacers to test fit them and measure to ensure I got the correct size. When I put them on and to my surprise they fit very well and stuck out as much as my oem CE wheels so I decided against getting spacers.

On another note I hope you bought the bolt on spacers that have another set of studs instead of the type which is just a spacer plate. Also the center hole should be 70.3mm I believe.

your new c6 rims in the rear, are 17mm (0.66 in) further tucked into the wheel well.

buying this would make them stick out 3mm further than before.

better than being tucked in.

here is how you figure this stuff out.

put in your width and your offsets.

Thanks for all the replies, The tires are supposed to be in on Wednesday so when they get mounted I will see how they fit. The stock rear tires are 285x40x17 on a 9.5" rim and the new ones are 285x35x19 on a 10" rim so I was figuring the tires would not make a bunch of difference. I will just have to see if I need any spacers as it just appears I only have about 1" behind the rear tire now. I did however order hub centric spacers in case I need them. If I do not need them, I will be happier!!

Your wheels have the same spacing as mine, so they should fit as well. Thanks for your input. I can't wait to get them on because I already know how they look on other cars. I did order hub centric spacers in case.

Basically I am trying to get a fit as close to the stock 9.5 - 56mm now on the car. I did use the calculator but guess I just couldn't grasp what it was telling me.

As an update, while I didn't really understand the wheel calculator, I measured the inside if the wheel to the edge of the rim and the original 17 x 9.5 rim measured 7 1/2 inches and the new 19 x 10 rim measured 8 1/2 inches. I used a 1 inch spacer and the wheels fit exactly as the originals. Contrary to some posts, the wheels would fit without spacers however were inset to the point it was within 1/8" from the brake line and would most likely hit on the first bump, plus the tire was very inset.

The car was just off of the jack so the rear wheel gap had not settled and looks higher but settled fine.
